STANDARD TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

    1. THE NESTING PLACE PACKAGES: 
    a. Deluxe Suites are upon availability (depends on your actual check-in date). There is no bookings on any specific rooms, but we will try to accommodate your preference the best we could.

    c. Premium Suites Package includes daddy and child stay-in for free. No other relatives or friends are allowed to stay the night.
    d. It is compulsory for clients to give 2 days’ advance notice before check-in. Deposit is expected with your registration. The balance is to be paid upon checking-in. 

    2. CANCELLATION & REFUNDS 
    a. If the pregnancy fails to progress i.e. a miscarriage, there will be a 100% refund of the deposit. No other condition for cancellation will be accepted for 100% refund.
    b. Should you deliver earlier from your expected due date, and there are no rooms available at Blissful Parenting, you will be offered a holding room until your room is available for you.

    3. REFUND
    a. NO REFUND will be given in situations which are beyond our control i.e. water rationing or no electricity, and you decide to return to the comfort of your own home for a day or two. 

    4. DAYS OF STAY 
    a. The total number of days spent at The Nesting Place is 28 days and 27 nights.
    b. Check in: after 3pm
    c. Check out: before 2pm

    5. 100% BREASTFEEDING: Our aim is to help mothers breastfeed successfully
    a. A Lactation Consultant will provide you with hands-on consultancy, whenever necessary, until you get comfortable and confidence in latching on baby. 
    b. At The Nesting Place, every mother is encouraged to breastfeed. Therefore, we would encourage every mother to exclusive breastfeed and no bottle-feeding (in first 3 weeks). Unless if the baby had been medically indicated or prescribed by the paediatrician or any related medical professional. The substitute milk will only be given via cup feeding or spoon feeding.
    c. In The Nesting Place – we do not practise donated milk to prevent cross infection from unknown donated breast milk. If for any reason if you bring the donated Expressed Breastmilk (EBM) If any adverse reaction is at your own risk.
    d. When your baby is almost reaching his/her full moon (after week 3 maybe), we encourage mothers to room in their babies and learn to care for your baby prior to discharge from our centre.

    6. BABY CARE

    a. The ratio of Nurses to babies is 1 to 3 (as we encourage rooming in and learn the care of baby 

    while you are in The Nesting Place). There will be always a nurse to do frequent rounds while 

    your baby rooming in. There will be time for you to care for your baby while they attend to their 

    other duties. 

    b. In order to have a secure and happy baby, your baby should be sleeping next to Mummy. 

    Occasionally, should you require uninterrupted sleep, our Nurses will be happy to watch over 

    your baby in nursery. They will bring your baby back to you during feeding time. 

    c. After the 2nd week of baby’s life The Nesting Place encourages all mothers (and fathers) to be 

    hands-on to care for the baby such as changing diaper, bathing, burping, soothing and etc.

    d. Baby clothing is provided for throughout your stay at The Nesting Place. You do not need to 

    bring any clothes for your baby. You are encouraged to bring one set of clothes for discharge 

    day. If you wish to use your own clothing you are welcome to. 

    7. MEALS

    a. All meals and drinks are provided for at The Nesting Place. However, if you should decide to 

    bring in your own food i.e herbal tonics, medicine etc., The Nesting Place willnot be responsible 

    for any adverse effects that might occur from consuming such food.

    b. Should you bring in your own food, please inform the staff of The Nesting Place. 

    c. Should your baby be tested to be G6PD positive and you require a special diet meal plan, there 

    will be a surcharge of RM500.

    d. In the first week, while Mother is recuperating from childbirth, meals can be served in your 

    room. Thereafter, you are encouraged to have your main meals in the Dining Hall. 

    e. Please do eat all your meals on time, as eating well is essential for your recuperation. You could 

    learn to breastfeed your hungry baby while eating. 

    f. We have planned your meals with care, ensuring that it will encourage healthy lactation, and 

    Mummy’s healthy recuperation. All meals prepared in The Nesting Place follows a healthy and 

    balanced diet. We might not use as much ginger, herbs or wine as you may think is necessary. 

    g. The Nesting Place and its staff are not to be held responsible for any food allergies affecting the 

    Mummy of the breastfed baby.

    h. Please have your meals at the scheduled time to avoid consuming cold food. 

    i. Should you or your baby be admitted into the hospital during your confinement period, meals 

    will still be prepared for Mummy upon request. However you will have to make the arrangement 

    yourself for the meals to be sent to the hospital. 

    j. You may request for larger portions to meet your appetite. However, if you are unable to finish 

    your meals, we will not allow it to be packed and taken home by your husband/guests.

    8. DADDY STAY-IN

    a. Only the father of your baby is allowed to stay in The Nesting Place. No discounts on packages 

    are available should the father decide not to stay-in. 

    9. DAILY OPERATION 

    a. Our nurses have a busy daily schedule to ensure that The Nesting Place runs optimally, caring 

    for a maximum of 6 mothers and their babies. It would be greatly appreciated if you would 

    follow our daily schedule as closely as possible.

    b. Cleaner will perform daily room cleaning during your meal time. Should the cleaner be unable 

    to clean your room due to guests’ presence or Mummy sleeping or whatever reasons, 

    housekeeping will be performed the following day on schedule.

    c. Meals are scheduled as follows. Please do adhere to it as best as you can as we would like you to 

    have warm and healthy meals:-

    i. Morning Snack : in room – lactation milk and biscuits 

    ii. Breakfast : 9.00am

    iii. Lunch : 12.00 noon

    iv. Tea : 3.00pm

    v. Dinner : 6.00pm

    vi. Supper : 8.00pm

    10. CONFINEMENT PRACTICES 

    a. The Nesting Place embraces a traditional yet liberal practice of confinement methods. 

    b. As hygiene is the utmost importance to prevent communicable diseases, we insist that Mummy 

    bathes every day and washes her hair at least once a week. This reduces the risk of skin, wound 

    and breast infections. It’s important that you remain clean and fresh for you and your baby to 

    enjoy breastfeeding. Free herbal-water for bathing is included. 

    c. There is no scientific evidence that using tap water to wash hands and brush your teeth will 

    cause rheumatism, arthritis or any other illnesses. But if you feel very strongly about this, you 

    can use the prepared herbal-water to wash your hands. 

    d. We encourage eating in moderation, thus you may find that we use less ginger, herbs and wine 

    than is thought necessary by the ‘elders’ or other ‘traditional confinement ladies. This is to 

    ensure that the special confinement food do not adversely affect you or your breastfed baby. 

    e. You should also eat on time and while the food is still warm to encourage a good digestive 

    system. 

    f. The consumption of a little alcohol is permissible, but alcohol has been shown to inhibit 

    ‘let-down’ and might even decrease milk production. 

    g. Adequate liquid consumption is very important. We serve either red dates tea every day. Plain 

    water is also encouraged as it will help in the removal of toxins in the body. 

    11. ILLNESSES AND MEDICAL CONCERNS

    a. The Nesting Place is not a medical facility.

    b. In the case of illness and other medical concerns, of either Mummy or Baby, Mummy is fully 

    responsible to get the advice and seek treatment from a qualified doctor.

    c. The Nesting Place and its staff will not be held responsible for all medical concerns, including 

    and not limited to:-

    i. Jaundice 

    ii. Dehydration 

    iii. Any form of infection 

    iv. Mosquito or any insect bites leading to dengue or rashes or any other medical conditions. 

    v. All other medical conditions

    12. HOUSEKEEPING 

    a. Cleaner will perform daily room cleaning during or after your meal time. We hope you adhere 

    strictly to our timing. 

    b. Should the cleaner be unable to clean your room due to guests’ presence or Mummy sleeping or 

    other reasons, housekeeping will be performed the following day on schedule. 

    c. Laundry:-

    i. Please ensure that your clothes’ colour would not run. The Nesting Place is not responsible 

    for any damage to any articles of clothing.

    ii. The Nesting Place is not responsible for any wear and tear of your clothing that occurs 

    during laundry.

    iii. We will not be hand-washing any article of clothing. Note: a packet of mesh panties 

    (disposable) will be provided for your comfort. Additional pieces may be purchased from us.

    13. ELECTRICAL & OTHER PERSONAL ITEMS 

    a. The Nesting Place is not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal or electrical items 

    i.e computers, notebooks, tablets, phones etc., used in The Nesting Place.

    14. WIFI

    a. The Nesting Place is not responsible for the stability or strength of the WIFI access within our 

    premise

    15. SMOKING POLICY

    a. The Nesting Place maintains a strong no-smoking policy in our premises, including in the main 

    entrance and pool side. 

    b. Please remind your guests (including your husband) not to smoke within the premises. 

    c. If you are a smoking mother and refused to give up smoking while having your confinement at 

    The Nesting Place, The Nesting Place reserves the right to request you to leave the property. NO 

    REFUNDS will be offered.

    16. VISITORS

    a. Visitors are welcome between 10am – 7pm. 

    b. For the safety of all mothers and babies in residence, please notify us in advance with the 

    names of your guests BEFORE they visit.

    c. The Nesting Place reserves the right to reject entry to a guest, or to request a guest to leave the 

    premises in the case that he/she is deemed to have disturbed the peace and tranquillity of The 

    Nesting Place.

    d. The Nesting Place will not be held responsible for the safety and well-being of any visitors, 

    including children, while they are within the premises of The Nesting Place.

    e. If your older child is sick (coughing and runny nose), we request that you do not allow him/her 

    to visit you.

    17. ITEMS TO BRING

    a. Mummy’s own comfortable clothes

    b. Maternity sanitary pads

    c. Toothpaste, toothbrush & other personal toiletries

    d. Baby’s diapers - for when the complimentary packet is used up

    e. Breastpump (for hygienic purpose)

    f. Breastmilk storage bags/bottles (optional) - if more breastmilk bags needed
